About the Guest Mixologist:
Ulysse Jouanneaud is the co-owner, founder and general manager of Buccaneers Rum & Cocktails, a Rum bar located in the heart of Poblacion in Makati. A passionate and quality oriented bartender with 14 years plus experience in the bar industry in Europe, Oceania, Middle East and South East Asia. Ulysse is a lover of the history and the tradition of the Bar and Beverage. Creator of new cocktails and always in the trend. A high-energy achiever with a positive attitude, a strong customer service and team orientation.
Before devoting his work fulltime to Buccaneers Rum & Cocktails, Ulysse served as Beverage Manager at one of the five-star hotels at the Fort in BGC where he built the beverage program of 8 bars & restaurants. He has also created the concept of The Back Room that was awarded Asia’s top 50 Best Bar in 2019 and 2020. Ulysse also created a gin in the Laboratory of The Back Room. A very small batch gin called Bee’s Knees, using local botanicals sourced in different provinces of the Philippines.
