These bags are made from repurposed plastic by the children of Hagonoy, Bulacan. They are delicately hand-woven and the designs are artistically painted by them. Discovery Shores Boracay embarked on the Ecobrick Project, a multi department initiative to repurpose discarded plastics into building materials called “Ecobricks.” In this project, employees took part in a workshop where they were taught how to properly pack clean and dry used plastics into PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles to achieve a target density, and turn them into a basic building block unit.
