Discovery Shores is Region VI Best Resort

Discovery Shores Boracay, (the first luxury resort in the island), figured prominently in the recently concluded Western Visayas Tourism Excellence Awards 2009.  The yearly industry awards gives recognition to the exemplary achievements and standards of the best hotels and professionals in the hospitality industry in Region VI - one of the country's top tourist destinations.

Jose C. Parreño, Jr., Vice President for Resorts of HSAI-Raintree and General Manager of Discovery Shores Boracay, bested a field of excellent industry practitioners to receive the Western Visayas Tourism Excellence Awards 2009 - Regional Director's Award.

In the same awards ceremony, Discovery Shores Boracay, acclaimed by tourists and industry insiders alike for its innovative architectural design and impeccable service, won the 2009 Western Visayas Best Resort Award (AAA Category).  The award affirms Discovery Shores' position as the only luxury hotel in Boracay delivering service at par with world-class standards.
